Founded in 1926, Royal FC Mandel United, formerly KFC Mandel United, is an historical and ambitious Belgian football club, based in Izegem, in the Flemish Region.
Over time the club has established longstanding, strong traditions and has grown to be known as one of the biggest football clubs.
As the Belgian football landscape continues to evolve, Royal Mandel FC United assumes its status as an essential actor for our region. The club, its players, and its staff notably benefit from the passionate support of key stakeholders and partners.
Royal FC Mandel United is equipped with high-quality training facilities that matches the ambitions of the club. While its first team competes in Belgium’s National Division I, Royal FC Mandel United has over 600 registered players, ranging from exciting talents to recreational football lovers. The club is also proud to offer distinctive programs for all members of the community, whether they be children, young adults, or people living with physical or mental disabilities.
Ambition to reach the next level
In April 2021, Strive Football Group, the leading private owner and operator of football clubs and academies worldwide, acquired a majority share in the club. This marked a significant transition as the club renewed its ambitions and vision, while also strengthening its position in the local community and respecting the club’s history.

De fundamenten, pijlers waarop onze ganse ploeg steunt zijn ondertussen vastgelegd: oesjeun, goestehn, goazegevn!
1.gezond financieel beleid
Niet alles kan en mag van 1 of enkele personen komen, we hebben nood aan nieuwe inkomsten, sponsoring, events, een topkantine, we werken hier keihard aan. En iedere euro die binnen komt, wordt eerst twee keer omgedraaid voor hij wordt uitgegeven!
2. durven innoveren
We moeten creatief zijn, op alle vlakken, sportief, commercieel, organisatorisch, zelfs met een kleiner budget kun je winnen, het zijn niet altijd de grote die de kleine vangen, maar wij willen vooral de de slimme en de rappe zijn!
3.positief samenwerken
Enkel wie het ploegbelang boven het individuele plaatst kan hier een mooie toekomst hebben. Ieder zijn mening, maar enkel met 1 gezamenlijk doel kan men samen de uitdagingen aangaan
4.alles voor de jeugd.
Jullie zijn het kloppend hart van de club, we nemen voortaan enkel beslissingen die het belang van de jeugd voorop zetten. We hebben op dit moment in eerste nationale de meeste speelminuten voor de eigen opgeleide jeugdspelers
Bestuur
In de zomer van 2022 nam een lokale groep ondernemers onder leiding van de nieuwe Voorzitter Frederick Verhelst de aandelen van de club terug over van de Franse investeringsmaatschappij die de cub twee jaar eerder had overgenomen. Mario David is naast aandeelhouder ook actief Bestuurder en Paul Seynaeve en Bob Callens zijn gewaardeerde aandeelhouders.
Het Raad van Bestuur wordt ondersteund door een sterke Dagelijkse Werking met Angelo Paravizzini voor het sportieve beleid, Stijn Naessens voor het jeugdbeleid, Wim Deprez voor het commerciële beleid en de events, Jan Desmet als GC en administratief en operationele verantwoordelijke, Domien Poleyn voor de communicatie en Francis Leman voor de uitbating van de kantine.
